The Transport Training Board is a registered charity with its main objective to promote training for the automotive, logistics and transport industries throughout Northern Ireland.

The Board and its subsidiary social enterprise company, Transport Training Services, currently employs 16 staff and, with a number of sub-contractors, delivers services based at its modern purpose built training centre at Nutts Corner near Antrim. There is a combined group annual turnover of excess of £1m.

This is one of two new lead trainer posts. This Lead Trainer will supervise the work of a multidisciplinary team of Transport & Logistics Trainers and play an active role in the education and training programmes within all curricular areas. The post-holder will have responsibility for teaching and developing apprenticeship programmes.

What we are looking for

This post reflects the growth and need for skills we see ahead. We are looking for a highly motivated trainer who must have:

  • At least 1 years’ experience in supporting the development and learning of others.
  • A minimum of a level 3 qualification in a transport/logistics/supply chain subject closely related to the role and a minimum of three years’ (within the last seven years) relevant industry experience.
  • As a minimum, hold the Ulster University Certificate in Teaching (Level 4) as recognised by the Department for the Economy for those teaching in FE Colleges and training organisations in Northern Ireland. (Equivalent or higher teaching qualifications may be considered).
