The Transport Training Board, a registered charity with its main objective to promote training for the automotive, logistics and transport industries throughout Northern Ireland, is recruiting for a new key position – a Lead Trainer for transport/logistics. The Lead Trainer will supervise the work of a team of transport & logistics trainers and play an active role in the education and training programmes within all curricular areas.
This person will be responsible for all transport / logistics / supply chain training carried out at TTS, covering both professional development training and apprenticeships.
The successful applicant will be responsible for developing, overseeing and delivering training such as Driver CPC, Transport Manager CPC, Dangerous Goods, Taxi Driver Periodic Training, Driver Training and Health & Safety; and will have supervisory responsibility for both staff and for learners in driver training and logistics apprenticeships.
This is a key role in our strategic plan and will be instrumental in developing the transport, logistics and supply chain activity carried out at TTS.
Since the post-holder will have responsibility for teaching on apprenticeship programmes, they must, as a minimum, hold the Ulster University Certificate in Teaching (Level 4) as recognised by the Department for the Economy for those teaching in FE Colleges and training organisations in Northern Ireland. However, applicants who do not currently hold the Certificate in Teaching must commit to achieving this within two years of appointment and this will be funded by TTS.
Closing Date for Applications: 2pm on Monday 26th July 2021 at 1PM
