Driver Training Competition Terms & Conditions June 2022

Terms & Conditions

1. The promoter is Transport Training Board for Northern Ireland (charity registration NI101451), whose registered office is at 15 Dundrod Road, Nutts Corner, Crumlin, BT29 4SS. Transport Training Services is a working name of the social enterprise company and charity the Transport Training Board for Northern Ireland.
2. The competition is open to residents of Northern Ireland aged 21 years or over except employees of Transport Training Board for Northern Ireland and Transport Training Services and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
4. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
5. Route to entry for the competition and details of how to enter are via https://www.facebook.com/ttsni/ .
6. Multiple entries from the same person will be de-duplicated for the purposes of the draw. Entrants will only be entered into the draw once regardless of the number of entries.
7. Any competition post comment including offensive language or inappropriate content will be deleted and the entry will be disqualified.
8. Closing date for entry will be Monday 18th July 2022 at 5PM. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be accepted.
9. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
10. The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:

10.1 The entrant must be following @TTSNI on Facebook.

10.2 The entrant must “like” the competition post on Facebook.

10.3 The entrant must comment as instructed within the original TTS Facebook post.  Comments on shared posts will not be counted.

11. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice if circumstances arise outside of its control. Any changes to the competition will be posted to the TTSNI Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/ttsni/) as soon as possible by the promoter.
12. Details of the prize are as follows:

12.1 The choice of driver training course is one of the following: Licence Category C; Licence Category C+E; or Licence Category D.  The winner can only chose one of these courses.

12.2 Daily training fee x 5 days included in prize

12.3 Vehicle hire for duration of 5 day training included in prize

12.4 DVA module 3 practical driving test fee included in prize

12.5 DVA module 4 CPC practical test fee included in prize

12.6 The promoter is not responsible for any test re-sit fees in the event of the participant failing the test.

13. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prize is not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
14. The winner must undertake the driver training course with six months of notification of winning. After this time the prize will no longer be valid.
15. The winner will be chosen based on the comments supplied as part of the entry criteria from all entries received, by a panel of three judges, including Michael Strain, CEO of Transport Training Services. The judges’ decision is final.
16. The winner will be subject to a qualification process before the formal prize offer can be confirmed. The winner must confirm the following:

16.1 Must be resident of Northern Ireland

16.2 Must be aged 21 or over

16.3 Must be willing and able to make their own travel arrangements to Transport Training Services, 15 Dundrod Road, Nutts Corner, Crumlin, BT29 4SS, to participate in the training.

16.4 Must be willing to ascertain the following pre-requisites in their own time and at their own cost in advance of booking the training with Transport Training Services:

16.4.1 Medical Test

16.4.2 Provisional licence for required driving licence category

16.4.3 Theory test (Module 1a)

16.4.4 Hazard perception test (module 1b)

16.4.5 CPC case study (module 2)

16.4.6 If the winner chooses Category C+E licence as the prize, they must already hold a Category C licence as a pre-requisite.

16.4.7 Any other pre-requisites required prior to participating in the practical element of the driver training process.

17. The winner will be notified by Facebook messenger within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
18. The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected from or when/how it will be delivered.
19. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
20. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Northern Irish law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.
21. The winner agrees to participate in publicity including but not limited to:

a) The use of their name on social media, on transporttraining.org website and on any other internal or external publicity material

b) Being tagged on Facebook by the promoter

c) Publication of photos and/or video footage of them claiming their prize

d) Publication of photos and/or video footage of them taking part in the driver training

e) Other reasonable requests for publicity, such as comment for media

22. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

23. The winner’s name will be available for 28 days after closing date by emailing the following address mail@transporttraining.org.

24. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or any other Social Network. You are providing your information to Transport Training Services and not to any other party. The information provided will be used in conjunction with the following Privacy Policy found at https://www.transporttraining.org/privacy-policy/.

25. All competition entrants, other than the winner, will be eligible for a £100 discount on any driver training course booked with Transport Training Services. The following terms and conditions apply:

25.1     The discount must be claimed within six months of receipt.

25.2      The promoter will attempt to deliver the discount voucher to entrants via Facebook messenger within 28 days of the competition closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted via Facebook Messenger, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize.  Alternatively, entrants can claim their discount voucher emailing mail@transporttraining.org within 28 days the competition closing date.  We reserve the right to ask for proof of identification that matches an entry.

25.3     All other terms above in points 1 to 24 apply.
