Taxi & Bus Driver Periodic Training - Transport Training

Taxi driver periodic training is a legal requirement for anyone who obtained their taxi driving licence on or after 1st September 2015

Taxi driver periodic training is a legal requirement for anyone who obtained their taxi driving licence on or after 1st September 2015.  Drivers who acquired their licence prior to 1st September 2015 will need to complete Taxi Periodic Training if they wish to renew their licence. All taxi drivers will be subject to the full requirement of 35 hours every five years in order to retain their taxi driving licence.

Taxi Drivers in Northern Ireland will not be able to renew their taxi driver licence until they have completed the required amount of periodic training which must include at least one Disability Awareness course of a minimum of 3.5 hours.

TTS is approved by the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency to deliver Taxi Periodic training. Note: JAUPT has become part of the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and is now called the DVSA Training Accreditation team.
